Terms & Conditions for HelpInServices
Please read these terms to understand how service requests, provider interactions and platform responsibilities work.
1. Agreement and scope
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the HelpInServices mobile application, website and related features (together, the “Platform”). In these Terms, “HelpInServices”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator identified in the contact section below.
By creating an account, submitting a request, offering services or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. Additional notices or feature-specific terms may apply where clearly presented.
2. What HelpInServices does
HelpInServices is a service-discovery and request-management Platform. Customers can browse categories, find available service providers, submit work requests, review status updates and communicate in connection with a job. Providers may publish relevant service details, receive or respond to requests and manage their work-related conversations.
Important: unless a particular service is expressly described as supplied by HelpInServices itself, the underlying repair, installation, maintenance or other on-site service is supplied by an independent provider, not by HelpInServices. A request or provider listing does not by itself guarantee availability, acceptance, qualifications, price or completion.
3. Eligibility and account information
Use of the Platform is intended for people who can lawfully enter into the relevant service arrangements. Users must provide accurate, current and lawful account information, keep their details updated and use only accounts they are authorized to access.
Providers must be legally permitted and appropriately qualified to offer the services they advertise. Additional verification, documentation or eligibility requirements may apply to certain roles or service categories.
4. Account security
You are responsible for safeguarding credentials, verification codes and devices used to access your account, subject to applicable law. Do not give another person unauthorized access or impersonate someone else.
Notify HelpInServices through its support feature if you suspect misuse. We may take proportionate steps to secure an account, verify ownership or restrict suspicious activity.
5. Customer responsibilities
- Choose the appropriate category and provide a genuine, clear and reasonably accurate description of the work.
- Provide only necessary address, access and contact details, and make any lawful arrangements needed for the work location.
- Confirm the job scope, visit time, materials, fees and payment terms with the chosen provider before work begins.
- Communicate respectfully, respond to material changes and do not make false, misleading or abusive requests.
- Review completed work and raise concerns promptly through the available request or report workflow.
6. Service provider responsibilities
- Describe services and coverage areas truthfully, and maintain any licenses, permits, training or registrations legally required for the work.
- Review job details before accepting; accept only work you can perform competently, safely and lawfully.
- Explain estimates, labor, materials, schedules and additional charges clearly before obtaining a customer's agreement.
- Respect customer property, privacy and safety; follow applicable consumer, employment, tax and professional requirements.
- Keep request statuses and communication accurate and do not mark unfinished work as completed.
- Handle any issues, remedies or warranties you promise to the customer in accordance with your agreement and applicable law.
A provider’s presence on the Platform does not, by itself, establish that HelpInServices employs, supervises, licenses, certifies or guarantees that provider.
7. Work requests and status changes
Submitting a work request makes the relevant information available through the applicable workflow; it does not create an automatic obligation for any provider to accept it. A request may display states such as pending, accepted, rejected, in progress, completed, cancelled or assigned elsewhere, depending on the features and circumstances.
Status labels summarize activity in the Platform and may not be a substitute for a direct agreement or evidence of the quality of completed work. Both parties should keep information current and confirm essential arrangements through the request conversation.
8. Messaging and notifications
In-app chat and notifications are provided to facilitate legitimate communications about services and requests. You must not use them for spam, harassment, off-topic marketing, fraudulent payment demands or unlawful activity.
Delivery or read indicators are technical signals, not legal proof that a message was understood. Push notifications can be delayed or unavailable because of device settings, connectivity or external services. The Platform is not an emergency-response service; contact appropriate emergency services if immediate assistance is needed.
9. Quotes, fees and payments
Unless a specific pricing feature says otherwise, estimates and service charges depend on the provider and scope of work. Customers and providers should agree on labor costs, materials, taxes, travel charges, timing and the total before commencing work.
If HelpInServices introduces a booking fee, subscription, commission, paid feature or payment facility, the applicable amount and terms should be disclosed in the relevant interface before a user incurs the charge. Payment options and processing may be provided by third parties subject to their terms.
Do not assume that an “unpaid” or “paid” request label by itself resolves a dispute about the quality, completion or price of the underlying job.
10. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
Cancellation or rescheduling options depend on a request’s current status, the available app controls, the parties’ agreement and applicable law. Notify the other party promptly when plans change and document material changes within the request conversation where possible.
Whether any payment must be refunded, adjusted or retained depends on the applicable service agreement, the payment arrangement, work already performed and mandatory legal rights. HelpInServices does not promise a universal cancellation window or automatic refund under these general Terms unless a separate, applicable policy expressly provides one.
11. Reviews, reports and disputes
When rating, reviewing or reporting a service, provide an honest account of what occurred. Do not publish fabricated reviews, threats, personal attacks or another person's unnecessary private information.
HelpInServices may make report, support or moderation tools available. A report may be reviewed and the Platform may request information or take action when appropriate, but the availability of a report function does not guarantee a particular outcome. Customers and providers remain responsible for addressing obligations arising from their underlying service arrangements, subject to law.
12. Prohibited activity
You must not use the Platform to:
- Impersonate a person or business, misrepresent qualifications, or create fraudulent requests, listings or reviews.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate unlawfully, exploit or abuse any person.
- Post content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy or other legal rights.
- Request or provide illegal, unsafe or prohibited services.
- Send spam, phishing links, malware or deceptive payment instructions.
- Scrape, bulk-harvest, sell or misuse other users' personal information without a lawful basis.
- Interfere with app security, bypass access controls, reverse engineer prohibited components or misuse automated systems.
- Manipulate work status, misuse notifications or attempt to evade lawful Platform restrictions.
13. Safety, verification and real-world services
Check a provider’s profile, ask questions and confirm qualifications or required licenses appropriate to your job. Likewise, providers should assess whether a request is safe and within their skills and service area before accepting.
Even where the app includes profile information, reviews or any verification indicators, those signals may have limitations. HelpInServices does not make an unconditional guarantee of an individual’s identity, reliability, certification, background, conduct or the outcome of work unless an explicit written promise states otherwise.
For dangerous work or urgent hazards, use a properly qualified professional or appropriate emergency channel rather than treating the app listing as a substitute for safety judgment.
14. Your content and Platform rights
You remain responsible for content you submit, including profile descriptions, work requests, chat messages, images and reviews. You confirm that you have any rights or permissions necessary to submit that content.
You give HelpInServices a limited, non-exclusive right to host, store, process and display your submitted content solely as reasonably needed to operate the Platform, present it to the intended participants, maintain security, handle complaints and comply with law. This does not transfer ownership of your content to HelpInServices.
The Platform’s software, layout, trademarks, branding and other materials belong to their respective owners. Except as authorized by law or an express license, you may not copy or commercially exploit them without permission.
15. Suspension, termination and changes to features
We may restrict or suspend access to protect users or the Platform, investigate suspected violations, comply with legal requirements or manage security risks. Where appropriate and legally required, users will receive an explanation or an opportunity to seek review.
You may stop using the Platform and request account closure using available account or support controls. Closing an account may affect active requests, access to messages and records that must be retained. Features, supported areas, availability and functionality may change over time.
16. Third-party services
The Platform may rely on mapping, notification, hosting or payment providers, and may link to third-party services. Such services can have their own terms and privacy notices. HelpInServices is not automatically responsible for independent third-party websites or actions merely because the Platform connects to them.
17. Disclaimers and responsibility
We work to make the Platform useful and reliable, but functionality, listings, message delivery and availability can vary. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is provided on an “as available” basis without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
HelpInServices is not automatically a party to the customer-provider service contract and is not responsible for independently performed work merely because a connection arose through the Platform. Nothing here excludes obligations, consumer protections, remedies or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Any contractual allocation or limitation of liability is subject to applicable law, the circumstances of the claim and the rights of affected consumers. These Terms do not attempt to waive statutory protections.
18. Updates to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, operations or Platform features. The “Last updated” date above indicates the version displayed. If the law requires additional notice or user consent for a material change, we will use an appropriate process.
19. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are intended to operate under the applicable laws of India, without restricting any mandatory rights users may have under consumer-protection or other relevant laws. Disputes will be addressed through the applicable legal processes and competent authorities or courts as determined by law.
We encourage users to provide a clear description of the issue and relevant request number through the support channel so it can first be reviewed or directed to the appropriate party.
20. Contact and grievances
For account concerns, service-request issues, reports or questions about these Terms, use Help & Support in the HelpInServices app. Do not include passwords, OTPs or unnecessary sensitive data.
