How browser storage and third-party resources work on HelpInServices, and the choices available to you.

Cookie Policy for HelpInServices

When you explore local services on HelpInServices, you should know what your browser remembers. This policy explains the website's current use of cookies, local storage, and resources loaded from other providers.

1. Overview

This Cookie Policy applies to the HelpInServices website, including service listings, category pages, help pages, and the sign-in page. It complements our Privacy Policy, which explains the handling of personal information more broadly.

HelpInServices helps customers discover local service providers and learn about home, repair, beauty, tutoring, and other everyday services. This policy describes storage and related technologies used on the website; it does not replace notices for separate apps or independent services.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small pieces of data that a website can ask your browser to store and return with later requests. They can help websites remember information between visits.

Local storage is a separate browser feature that keeps information for a website on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage is not automatically included with every request to a website. Information can remain after you close your browser.

Browser caching saves copies of resources, such as fonts, styles, and icons, so they can be reused when you visit pages. Cached files are different from a saved email preference.

You can find more background in Mozilla's guides to website cookies and browser storage.

3. Storage used by our website

Our website's own scripts do not currently create browser cookies. The sign-in page uses optional local storage when you select Remember my email.

Optional browser storage used by HelpInServices
Preference Information stored Purpose and choice
Remember my email The email address entered on the sign-in page, stored in your browser for this website. Prefills your email on a later visit. Optional; enabled when you select the checkbox and provide a valid email address.

This preference does not store your password or sign you in. Leave it unchecked if you do not want the website to remember your email, particularly on a shared device.

Category searches and filters are reflected in the page address so the selected view can be reopened or shared. They are separate from the remembered email preference.

4. Third-party website resources

Some website resources are delivered by external providers:

  • Google Fonts: supplies the Poppins and Quicksand fonts used for headings and text.
  • Tailwind CSS: supplies styling resources used to display the website's layout.
  • UNPKG: delivers the Lucide icon library used for navigation and other interface icons.

Loading an external resource connects your browser to that provider's servers. Those requests can disclose technical information, such as your IP address, browser information, and the resource requested. A request to an external provider can occur even when you have not selected Remember my email.

External requests and browser caching are distinct from the email preference described above. Providers' own privacy notices and your browser settings govern their handling of requests and any storage they use. See Google Fonts' privacy information for details about its font service.

5. Analytics and advertising

We have not added analytics tags, advertising pixels, or embedded social-media tracking widgets to the current website. The resources described above support the website's presentation.

This does not mean that visiting the website makes no network requests or that external providers receive no technical information. If analytics, advertising, or other optional tracking features are introduced, this policy will need to describe those uses and any relevant choices.

6. How long information stays in your browser

The remembered email has no fixed expiry set by the website. It can remain between visits until you clear the preference, delete this website's browser data, or your browser removes it.

Unchecking Remember my email on the sign-in page removes the saved email preference when browser storage is available. Cached fonts, styles, and other resources follow your browser's cache settings and the resource provider's instructions, rather than the email preference's retention period.

7. Managing your choices

You can control browser storage in the following ways:

  • Manage your remembered email: open the sign-in page and uncheck Remember my email to remove the saved preference.
  • Clear website data: use your browser's privacy or site-settings controls to delete cookies and site data for HelpInServices, including local storage. Deleting browsing history alone may not remove this information.
  • Block or restrict storage: adjust your browser's cookie and site-data settings. Some browsers offer separate controls for third-party cookies and other website data.
  • Use a private browsing window: private browsing may limit how long site data is kept. Its behavior depends on your browser and settings.

The website does not currently offer a separate cookie-preferences panel. Your browser's controls and the Remember my email checkbox are the available controls described in this policy.

8. Effects of clearing or blocking storage

If browser storage is unavailable or cleared, the website may no longer prefill your email address. You can enter it again when needed. Blocking external resources can also affect how fonts, icons, styling, or interactive features appear and work.

Clearing browser data removes information kept in that browser; it is separate from requesting deletion of an account, service request, or support record. For questions about personal information beyond browser storage, read our Privacy Policy and use the available support route.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when website features, storage practices, or external resources change. The Last updated date at the top identifies the version shown.

This policy explains the current website's practices. Reading it or browsing the website does not, by itself, replace any separate choice or consent required for a particular use.

10. Questions and support

For questions about this Cookie Policy or your personal information, use Help & Support in the HelpInServices app. Our contact guidance explains the available support route.

If you are having trouble accessing your account, visit the Help Center's account access guidance. Describe the issue and the browser or device involved without sharing passwords, verification codes, or unrelated sensitive information.
