Trust & safety

A little care. A safer service.

Practical guidance for customers and service providers, from your first conversation to the final check.

Before your service

Start with a clear understanding.

A few simple checks can help everyone know what to expect.

Know who you are booking

Review the provider's profile, experience, service details, and available feedback. Ask questions about anything that is unclear before making plans.

Agree on the details

Confirm the work, timing, location, materials, and full estimate. Discuss any additional charges before the service begins.

Keep a useful record

Use the request conversation in the app where possible. Keep the agreed scope and relevant messages together so changes are easy to follow.

During the visit

Respect goes both ways.

Clear communication and a suitable work area help customers and professionals work together.

For customers

  • Confirm that the arriving professional matches the person expected for your request.
  • Explain the job and provide access only to the areas needed for the work.
  • Keep children, pets, and belongings away from the work area.
  • Ask about changes to the work or price before agreeing to them.

For service providers

  • Review the request and confirm the location, scope, and timing before visiting.
  • Explain the work and get agreement before changing the scope or charges.
  • Respect the customer's space, privacy, and personal boundaries.
  • Pause the work if the conditions feel unsafe and report the concern through the app.

Account & payment safety

Keep your personal details personal.

Protect your account access

Keep passwords and sign-in or payment verification codes private. Share only information needed for the job, and be cautious about unexpected links or requests for sensitive details.

Check before making a payment

Confirm the agreed amount, recipient, and available payment method. Keep your receipt or transaction reference. If a charge looks unfamiliar, check your records and raise the issue through in-app support.

Speak up about a concern

Something does not feel right?

Customers and providers can report inappropriate conduct, misleading details, service problems, or suspicious activity through the app.

  1. Open Help & Support in the HelpInServices app, or use a report option on the relevant request if available.
  2. Explain what happened. Choose the closest issue type and include the request number, relevant dates, and a factual description.
  3. Submit your report and follow the in-app instructions for any updates or additional information.

Include relevant supporting details where the app allows them. Keep passwords, verification codes, and unrelated personal information out of your report.

Questions

Safety questions, answered.

What should I check before choosing a provider?

Review the provider's profile, relevant experience, service details, and available customer feedback. Confirm the work, location, timing, and price before proceeding. Profile information and reviews can help you decide, but they do not guarantee a particular result.

Should I share passwords or verification codes?

Keep account passwords, sign-in codes, and payment verification codes private. Share only the contact and job information needed for your service. If someone requests sensitive information unrelated to the work, stop and report the concern through in-app Help & Support.

How do I report a customer or provider?

Open the relevant request and use a report option if it is available, or open Help & Support in the app. Include the request number, a factual description, relevant dates, and the outcome you are seeking. See the reporting steps below.

What if the work or charges differ from what we agreed?

Check your messages, agreed scope, estimate, and payment records. Explain the difference to the other person through the app. If you need further assistance, submit a support request with the relevant details. Any adjustment or refund depends on the service agreement and circumstances.

What should I do if I feel unsafe during a visit?

Pause the service and move to a safe place if you can. If there is immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. Once you are safe, report the incident through the app. In-app support is not an emergency response service.
